So a member by the name of Underdog over there (Im assuming hes a Mod or Admin) sent me a PM and said no solicitation is allowed, and he deleted my thread in the Welcome forum. I wasnt solicitating really. I was just offering up to put a banner on HA and promote for them a little bit. Kind of irritating that they would do that, when I was only trying to help them out. Maybe they dont want anyone's help...who knows....but just thought that wasnt cool. I can understand maybe sending me a PM and discussing stuff with me, but to actually completely delete my thread over there....wow.....

What ever....I'll keep the gallery and the forum on here for the Kia guys, but I might take down the banner ad now, since it looks like they want no part of it. unsure.gif

Wow, I have a lot of friends with KIAs and through them I've heard a lot of bad things (and some good things) about the SK site. From what I've heard they're basically the newtiburon.com of KIA sites.

I don't understand why groups that drive the same class of cars as the rest of us in these specialized forums have to act so high and mighty. Any way you look at it, it's still a Hyundai/Kia.

Yeah...I didnt want to say it, but that was my first thought as well (about them being a New Tiburon type of control), after I read the PM and saw that my thread was deleted. 2 companies over there contacted me after I posted my welcome thread, and I think they are interested in having a retail forum over here and start doing things for Hyundai's. But its only a guess right now until I have more in depth conversations with them. unsure.gif

Bottom line is this....I wasnt trying to infringe on what they have going on over there. I was just offering to help them out by putting a sub-forum, gallery, and a banner on HA to drive traffic to their site. I didnt ask for anything in return from them at all, other than maybe a small banner ad from them (which I ended up using their main banner anyway). Had I gone over there and started to talking about HA as if I was selling something or wanted them to put HA stuff on their site, I could understand. But its just another website with Korean cars. RD and HP and HA all share links and members jump around between each site. Its just so messed up when you have the New Tiburon and Street Kia mentality in the Korean Import Community. They try and seperate themselves from everyone else, when all most people want to do is, help each other out in any way they can.

Oh well. Hopefully the few members that have registered over here will find themselves stopping in now and then to check things out. I thought about going over there and making a thread in their flame forum, but then realized its just not worth it. Its makes HA look unprofessional, and nothing I say would matter anyway. So why waste the time and energy when they have it set in stone to seperate and remove themselves completely from the rest of the Korean scene?

Ok...I'll step down from the pedestal now. Tired as hell. It was one hell of a wild and crazy night at the club. laugh.gif Gotta pass out....

Maybe send a PM to a mod or admin and explain what you're trying to do. Hopefully there is still a chance.

No chance now. Looks like I either got banned or my account was deleted. Im no longer able to log in over there. Sheesh...all that just because I offered to help them out some. Wonder what they do to people who really do solicit stuff. laugh.gif

Oh yeah, and some guy named Bill from KFX Performance sent me an email saying he wants to do stuff with us here at HA. Guess he does alot stuff for the Kia folks. Wonder if I should even bother. Wouldnt want him to get in trouble over there for "going outside their community" like some of the vendors did over on NT, when they wanted to help out other Hyundai sites.... huh.gif

HOLY SH*T!!!! So umm..ok...I just checked my email since last night, and the Admin of SK mailed me saying I dont have permission to use the Street Kia name and its copyrighted, and I have to remove the banner ad from the main page immediately.

DAAAAMMMNNN.....that is some seriously focked up SH*T right there.....

Oh well....let them be I guess. To the SK members that are currently registered here....thank you for coming over and posting. I really do hope you guy stick around some because you all seem mad cool. Please dont take offense to this thread, or by me deleting the Kia album in the gallery. Evidently...its not allowed to help you guys out some. unsure.gif But I will keep the Kia sub-forum for you all to post in, if you wish. smile.gif

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

I demand you stop driving people to my site!!!! I don't want any more people to find out about it!

That's got to be the stupidest business decision I've ever heard of. That guy is straight up RETARDED.

I love the KIA tuners, I participate in events with the people at http://northwestkiatuners.com/ a lot and they're all really cool and very interested in corroborating with the Hyundai people.

I would for sure keep contact with the companies that were interested in branching out into Hyundais. I would have made that suggestion already but I figured they would be opposed for some reason.
