How exactly is the user rank determined and how does one up their rank?

The number of posts directly coincides with the status of your account (stock, etc.). The more posts you have, it will start to build your engine. Don't post unnecessary things, but if it's relevant to the topic, please feel free to throw in your two cents and contribute. wink.gif

if u get xxx posts, do you automatically become a moderator?

 

i'm pretty sure mod status can only be issued by admin

at least that's how the other boards that I'VE moderated worked..... i won't say for sure

moderator status is determined by admins on the basis of knowledge and know-how...

on the old site, there were points given per each post, each comment, each review, article, etc... however, with the switch to this website, i'm assuming it would have been impossible to impliment that feature.

The point system will be coming. It needs to be converted to work with this site though.
