The mobile browser does not display enough information on it. This means mobile clients have to continuously click to get to the information that they want. The server takes an average of 5 seconds to load a mobile page or a standard page.
To make matters worse, every time I set "use full browser", it defaults back to standard after a couple of clicks or next time I log on.
or iPhone, there is no purpose to having mobile browsing. The pinch interface makes it very easy to move around a standard web page. iPhone browser is the same as Safari, as you can see here in this picture of my brother's website suffering the same problems on a Mac OSX virtual machine as it does on the iPhone. These problems are not found on Internet Explorer or Firefox.

While iPhone is a mobile platform, the browser is not a mobile browser. It is the same browser that you use on the full platform of Mac OS X.
I would greatly appreciate it if using the mobile platform was not defaulted, but allowed by option.

huh?
When it recognizes you're on a mobile phone, it should automatically select the Mobile skin. It only takes a moment to switch skins, especially from the Mobile version. On my Android it remembers my options. I changed it to Comfy and it remembers my settings every time.
If you clear your cookies or cache on the phone, it may clear your settings and revert back to Mobile when it recognizes you're on an iPhone. I have not encountered that problem on my Android.
I changed from Comfy to Mobile earlier today because I needed to quickly get into my PMs and view info and it worked great. I reverted back to Comfy fairly easily. It wasn't much of a hassle. The mobile version is very quick on my phone.

The skin. The mobile skin. It is the worst. It does not display enough information and it keeps coming back. It is problematic and causes navigational difficulties, as well as inconvenience and wasted time.
Please default to standard skin with mobile being an option presented at login, or present the user the option to change, or at least respect the pushing of the full version button.
Either way, this site is slow to the point of being unusable because of the mobile browser limitations and lack of formatting options/limited data in the page, and it keeps going back to mobile after selecting full version.

^ and double posting I suppose
It isn't a site problem with the scrollbars, it's Android's browser. iFrames don't display scroll bars. In fact, I don't think any scroll bars are displayed. The Palm Pre had the same issue.
BUT.... this thread was about the Mobile Skin. The shoutbox isn't displayed on the mobile skin.
