Just a suggestion of something I saw and liked on another forum, pennocks fiero forum to be specific. They have a special section reserved for good build threads and only staff can move the thread into that forum, basically like the approved diy list here. Its nice though because you can read through quality build threads that actually go somewhere without sifting through all the ones that are just some quickly abandoned ideas. I dont know what everyone else thinks or how much of a pita it would be for the staff but I thought I would throw it out there.

If the staff wants someone to monitor it I would fing02.gif

I like the idea. Make it a non-create new post forum. Move the good builds in there, and then whenever someone has a new good build, move their car into that forum. A good build thread is the proof of a good build, and personally, I think a good build deserves it's own forum.

Well a big part of the point is that you cant create new threads in it and that it chronicles the build rather than just showing off the results.

for what builds? My head P&P thread will someday be kickass but its only one part. Whole car builds are super rare.

Need somebody to go thru the entire archives to find them all, whether its for cars or for subassemblies (turbo build/suspension rework etc) also

I would say for mostly major builds. This would be held to the discretion of the admins. Whatever they find is good information and that should fit in the forum. We don't really need to strictly define what goes there.

exactly, I dont think it would have to be strictly defined. For instance, stocker's p&p is only one part but its professionally done and contains a wealth of information.

That sounds better than having somebody try to remember to do it.

THat would be a good way to do it as well I think. Maybe also add a few good old threads, but I like JDN902's idea
