Mines one of those blued tips and it's just riveted to the muffler. Must be made of cheaper SS than the rest as it's starting to rust. So I'll probably just paint it black.

On my Accent the rubber pin boots need to be "locked" into the groove. Not easy to do but carefully with a small screwdriver you can get them pushed into the groove.

Why do you want to add that to the oil? A good synthetic at 5k oil changes does the job well. Pick your oil weight to your liking. The solvents you add to engine oil are not the way to go.

I use a dry flow from AEM. It is cleanable and needs no oil like the K&N. Lifetime warranty and the first one I had fell apart. :) They sent me a new improved version and it is much more robust....
