Hi everyone. I'm looking to sell my 2001 Tiburon. The car is completely paid for so once you pay me the money, the car is yours and you don't have to make payments with anyone. I don't have a price set in my mind yet, so right now, I'm looking for the best offer I can get for it. I hate to part with the car, but I need money for college.

The car has 55,000 miles on it and has been properly cared for in maintance. There are no problems with the car at all ... the hood/front bumper could use a clear coat and the engine start button is broken...but all you need is a button and it's good to go. The only thing that would not be sold with the car is the car audio equipment.

The car has previously been sponsored by Meguiar's and Corbeau Seats. It had some other minor sponsorships, but these two are the biggest. The car has been in the Motor Trend International Auto Show, and has been featured in a few magazines in the past years. The car can be used as a show car or a daily driver depending on the state laws with inspection.

I live in MD and am willing to drive anywhere within the state of MD or nearby states...any other states if you wish to purchase the car, you would have to come to me to pick it up.

Hey there guys. The car has treated me very well for the time we have been together and I love everything about it and still do, but my new project is my truck and I really need the money for school so I can hurry up and finish!
I really don't even know where to begin as far as the pricing goes. I thought I would check here first to see if I could sell it here before doing anything outside or going to eBay.
Considering what it has done to it (only thing that is not being sold with the car is the head unit and the speakers), and the fact that it runs perfectly fine and doesn't even need any work (a clear coat on the hood and maybe a front bumper respray if you want to show it) what do you think is a good price? I've never done anything like this before so I'm not really sure what to even ask for.

 

You will find that you want more for your car than you will get. I would say maybe $8500 considering what has been done to it and assuming you find a buyer that is interested in paying that amount. The blue book for a private party sale on your car is $6850.



But it is hard to say I guess it depends on how bad someone wants a show winner. laugh.gif
