Hey guys, I e-mailed RotorPros yesterday asking about a price for complete set of slotted/drilled rotors(as in 2 front 2 back), this is what he told me:

"I will go ahead and offer them to you for $200 even with paypal fees. Hopefully, you can spread the word at your forum again for us. Let them know we can offer the rotors for $180 shipped or $200 with custom colors. Thanks again!"

His name is Rich C. I believe, at least that is how his name appears on the e-mail... there are pics in their page, it's www.rotorpros.com, if anybody is interested. I'll be getting mine this upcomming weakend.

I thought it would be good for the community to know.

Yup, me and majik ran a group by one these some time ago. Good rotors and Rich is a good guy

LNHeart 07-17-2006 04:43 PM

Well, he is doing this again i guess, only for this month, this is what he told me after I told him that I would let RDT know about this deal...

"Let them know we will honor it for the entire month of July!! Thanks"

If anybody wants some now is the time to get them, I know I will, so get them while they are hot!! fing02.gif

meh he got me the wrong rotors then pretty much gave me the run around for over a month

i ended up sellin them and buying the right ones from somewhere else...

LNHeart 07-17-2006 04:52 PM

bad luck i guess, he asked me what kind did i use on my tib, non-captive or captive and i told him non-captive since its a 2000, so i guess he pretty much knows now...

REDZMAN 07-17-2006 11:46 PM

Ask him if they can do dimpled and slotted rotors.

LNHeart 07-18-2006 10:06 PM

Hey Redz,

I checked on the "product quote" page and it does show the option on dimpled/slotted rotors, but anyway, i will ask him to be 100% sure. wink1.gif

dquicksta 07-19-2006 01:00 AM

nice, what colors can they do?? I'd like to know about dimpled also

SwiftTiburon 07-19-2006 09:48 AM

Awesome deal, Ill definetely be looking into these.

LNHeart 07-19-2006 04:23 PM

Well, I e-mailed Rich yesterday and he answered me today, and it's an AFFIRMATIVE that he will do dimpled and slotted rotors...

Rich C.
"Sure we can machine them dimpled and slotted if that is your preference. No problem. Thanks"

What exacly is dimpled anyway, I know what drilled and slotted is but not dimpled. Can anyone enlighten me?

They come in Red, Silver, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Black.

I was looking at my car yesterday, i had decided to ask for them black, but i'm thinking of after getting the b/k installed getting the tib painted black, and go with a red and black theme, kinda what i'm going right now but instead of haveing more red than black it'll be more black than red, so if i paint the car black should i go red center of the rotor and red calipers? would it look good or stick with the black center and red calipers?

REDZMAN 07-19-2006 05:57 PM

Dimpled = drilling part way through the face, not all the way through the rotor. Better than DRILLED.

What part do they color? I belive others said their colors went away quickly.

Alex01tib 07-19-2006 08:32 PM

MmMmMmMmMm.... D/S rotors

Im soooooo in....

-But lets actually do this group buy, every GB i jump into never turns into a GB, it just fades away.-

LNHeart 07-23-2006 02:53 PM

^^^ Well, i dont know if they want to make it into a GB but u can always go to their web page (www.rotorpros.com) and say that u are from here and they will give u a discount $180 or $200 USDs for the custom color ones. It'll only be till the end of this month though. So hurry it up if any one wants some.

I dont really know if the color goes away quickly, i'll have to ask him, and the color is in the center of the rotor, u can go to their web page and look'em out, here is a link though for the hyundai tiburon non captive slotted/drilled rotors, and there is a custom blue colored ones. Oh, and thanks for the info Redz. hail.gif

Ok, this is what Rich C. answered me:

"Well we use high temperature primers, paints, and coat them with urethane clear. I think some people have been spraying rim cleaning sprays on the coated surface and that may be causing premature fading. Treat the coated substance as you would your paint job. I wouldn't spray those harsh rim cleaning sprays on my cars paint, would you????"

He also told me that if i wanted to try black zinc, that the paint would come off of the rotor were the brake pad works on but the hub would be intact and that i wouldnt need to worry about the paint getting faded or comeing off. That paint would last the life of the rotors.
