Can you use steering (suicide) knobs in auto cross or are they looked down on?

 

I'd bet that it would be a safety violation, if anything. Surely you don't have that much understeer do ya?

 

I'd rather have grippy driving gloves and a grippy steering wheel wrap than a knob through my forehead.

 

I would assume illegal. Most states have outlawed those things because people would lose control or hit them in a wreck. SCCA follows most common laws on vehicle condition. Without looking at the rules I would say tough luck. And why would you want one?

 

I didn't verify, but I think I remember laughing that they were SPECIFICALLY outlawed.
