Anyways If I had a scanner I would scan all my time slips.. nothing much to be proud of... cause I never broke out of the 17sec range... With a quickest 17.4492 at 81.78mph.... I dont think thats all that bad... for a bone stock car....

I was proud of myself for being my first time at the strip... Well running anyways...

Best reaction .5810
Best 60Ft 2.5840
Best 330ft 7.4320
Best ET @ 594Ft 10.6113
Best 1/8 ET 11.3400
Best 1/8 MPH 62.49
Best 1000' ET 14.6301
Best 1/4 ET 17.4492
Best 1/4 MPH 81.79

That wasnt all one run tho... It was a scattered variety of 6 runs till second decided to get mad and not wanna work so I called it quits for the night before I killed second gear syncros for good...

So aside from second gear syncros being weird, anyone have any ideas on why they are like that? When the tranny fluid gets hot it doesnt want to go into second? Im going to run some GM Syncromesh next time I go.

When I get a scanner I will post my slips untill then, I guess this is the end. So does anyone here have anything for this they want to post?!

Hey thanks for posting what a Tib can do all stock!I've done a few mods on mine and can now base any time slots I can do from the performance of a stock engine.Did you race with a full tank of gas or did you add gas for each race? Are you running with stock rims or aftermarket?

OdessitPashka hit a 15.1 with i/h/e and lightweight wheels..

hamhead hit a 14.9 with i/h/e/bbtb/airram..

bone stock, you should be able to get a low 16. but its your first time, so thats understandable. work on that 60' time and launching technique.

Part of it is your almost 2.6 60'. Drop it down to 2.3-2.4 and you'll drop half a second off your time.
Another problem could be your elevation or maybe you need a tuneup. Who knows, but yea, most people hit low 16's stock.

Post up your timeslip and I'll add it to the official timeslip thread.

i ran faster in my 88 integra with a dead 3rd cyl, and no 4th gear. it ran a 17.3

my tib with the heavy ass 25 pound 17's and very basic mods ran a 15.7. im pretty proud of that being that its my beater car.

17 seconds isn't right... You either aren't good at drag racing or your car has problems...

Yeah, its just the 60' time that needs working... which is probably you just needing to work on launching 1st gear and the 1-2 shift.

Yeah... mostly because it was my first time at the strip.. and my reaction times for most of the races sucked... most were in excess of .6 up to .9093... But like I said my second gear is gay... I have to wait close to 2 seconds before I hit it sometimes.. Im getting new syncros shortly or a "newer" transmission... it doesnt help that my street tires were mostly bald... and I spun off the line and spun when I shifted into second.... caught and pulled through 3rd... I had an 80% full tank of gas... So for this motor being in the midst of being replaces with an upgraded motor, and being rebuilt itself, I dont think I did all that bad, but I will be adding some nessicary N/A power adders such as a CAI, and custome exhaust. Im not going to worry about the headers, cause thats just going to be replaced with the turbo manifold soon..

My guess is I need new plugs, wires, filters, and syncromesh in the tranny. IT SHOULD help, but I have been wrong before. Thats why im building a better block in the garage. Only issue with that is I need a 2.0L crank. The motor I bought was a RD18 obviously a 1.8l motor. Only issue is with that. It still has the supposed 10.3:1 compression where as if I take the 2.0l crank and the 1.8l rods and pistons I will drop my compression somewhere around 7.9:1 deck the head .01 and the block .02 and I should be around 8.1-8.3:1 compression Which is better for boost. I know people are always like you will be in boost before your at stock power. Yes I know. The thing with boost though, it doesnt put you at stock power, it launches you way above it.

I don't quite understand your logic, but sounds like you have a plan. Post a "block build" thread when you're all good and done (with PICS). Maybe we can learn from you... ?

and Pat, I wouldn't brag about racing with a dead 3rd cylinder and a broken 4th gear. That's the dumbest shit I ever heard. LOL.
