There is a big difference between 2800lbs and 3500lbs.
A ton is 2000lbs

hey everyone you guys have to remember that I said the camaro spun and I did not I hooked good and that is what allowed me to get him!
I'm sure that he would have eventualy run me down but there was no doubt that I had this one in the bag!!
I'm not saying that I can beat all the camaros of that year or the new ones god knows those V8 would rip me a newone! OUCH!!
But if the time is right then it can happen and last night was one of those nights!
DON'T be afraid to challenge those older camaros unless you can tell that the car next to you really has some sheet in it!
Most of the time you are gona pull on em and they will have to play catch up and run you down to win!!

Thanks everyone for believing me when I posted this. Sometimes things are hard to believe but without having friends to tell things to then it's not worth the efforts that we ALL do to make our cars what they are and what they do!!!

Plus I don't know how much a camaro weighs but I am sure it is a lot more than 2800lbs.

Sorry your right about the ton thing it's 2240lbs, I was never good in math.
I'll get facts to see if am wrong. But I said between 2800-3500lbs. I could be wrong and I won't fight that am right cause I don't have facts.

Hey blue I'm not sure what the tibbys weigh but my accent came in at 2200lbs with a 1/4 tank of gas on the scales!! I am almost certain that the camaro model that I raced weighs in around 3200 to 3500 lbs maybe more. The model that your friend has weighs much less that the 87 to 90 models cars.
hope that helps!!! smile.gif

Thanks man.
I was dead wrong about 2800lbs but I say between 2800-3500lbs.
But it is still pretty close to 3200-3500lbs with a small block.

A stock Tiburons weight is 2633 lbs. (manual) and 2664 (automatic), that's for a 2001 though.

My friend never weighed his car he only weighed the engine and trany, the rest he guessed.
I guess this should be the end of the topic.
Nice to meet you accent 1.
