Ever buried the needle in your car?
Just wondering how fast some of you have had your car up to. If you buried the needle, how did it handle? Fastest I had my car up to was 130 and I was freaking out because you could almost feel the front lifting a little. It was on an old abandoned airport runway thats used for alot of legal santioned races.

193km/h
speed cut at 180km/h negotiated by maxing out downhill then putting clutch in and momentum and gravity did the rest any speed above about 120/130kmh and the car physically drops down closer to the road and goes straight as a die and sticks like sh!!!!!!!!t |
I doubt an accent actually gets down force since what, less that 5% actually see any.. and 85-90% see some sort of lift.
114.5 in the elantra, limiter stops it... still in 4th gear with plenty of power left and rpms left. |
ive been about 135-140ish then my inner fender plastic came off and flew into my tire lol i had god on my side that day.....

140mph In my Tib Down hill back when i was N/A! That was 5th at 6k!
|
135!
i coulda waited and bounced it off redline but, whats the point; not really pulling past 6 grand... |
Burried the needle at 130 a few times, once I was still pickin up a bit of speed after the needle buried cause I wanted to keep going. Usually I dont like to go above 100, atoumatic trip to jail and your car gets impounded.

127mph in the Accent. 135ish is redline...no power to pull any faster above 6k rpm's. Handled ok, but not what I would call good at that speed.
135+ in the Tib. Being an idiot. Still handled fine. Still had plenty of legs left. |
142.5 gps verified in the maxima
still wanted to pull but i lost my nerve |
Yes, it got buried. Easy to do with a turbo setup.
I even "buried" my F250's needle. The needle actually goes below the 100mph number, then flips all the way over to zreo and stays there til you slow back down to 100mph. It's like it gives up and takes a break til you slow down. lol |
