Since the Accent, which has been the wife's DD, has turned into an oil burner I've considered giving her the Elantra and Runnin the Accent as my Auto-X car until the engine blows.

Pro's of the Accent:

MAF car's respond to better breathing than the MAP based Elantra
Springs/swaybar are cheaper

Proper tire size for RE-01R's.

Con's:

ugly as sin
starting all over with a new car

I don't know. . . thoughts? I wouldn't have to worry about the wife killing the Accent and beiong stranded as she's have the nicer car. I'd have a new "project" and when the engine took a dump I'd have the opion of a Beta Swap or even a 1.6L swap to stay in Stock Classes.

 

DO it and toss a new motor in there when it comes time. Beta accent would be awesome for AutoX

 

Unfortunately an ngine swap puts me in Street Mod. . . a bad class to be in.

Yeah swapped accent can be pretty crazy, but if you can't really do that then your gonna have trouble getting any power. But it would probably handle great.

 

how would they know its swapped.. a beta swap in an accent looks SOO normal, theres not many people that could tell.

matt on hp.com has a SWEET autoX accent with ksports and completely stripped.. its skierds old accent and has some VERY nice autoX tires also. dont know if i have any pics of the car.

this isnt it, but its a sweet beta swapped accent.. looks like the motor belongs there..
