Any good staging stories?
Anyone got any fun or horrifying staging stories of when they went to the track? People at the track around here usually piss of the guy who doing the staging because people don’t pay attention.
Which brings another question in mind. Do you all normally follow good track etiquette?

A few years ago I let a buddy of mine "show me how to launch" my car, a 1971 BMW 2002. He knew absolutely nothing about BMWs including the fact that this particular model has its reverse gear engaged in the normal first gear spot (top left). Hilarity ensued. I only wish I was outside videotaping instead of sitting shotgun crying from laughing so hard.
I turned off my car at the pre-stage light once due to the fact the track had my ET wrong. They refused to change it so I refused to move my car. After a couple of minutes of pissing everybody off my time got changed. And I proceeded to lose the race.
I've seen lots of stupid and crazy things at the strip. Staging off of the back tires. Launching in reverse. Driving over the tree. Dropping the motorcycle.
Just a few I can think of.

Houston had a 4 and 6cyl only night. It brought out the street racing crowd. A ton of them staged with back tires or launched civics (not many mods) in 2nd gear. You could hear the clutch screaming (kill me now) from the stands. Also, a little before staging, a v6 mustang put its front tires in the water box like the other cars were doing.... yeah. Good times.
My biggest dumb move was to roll a little and get a !#$!@! redlight. I must have been just in the beam or something. I really didn't feel the car move but sort of noticed it. What sucked, that would have been a kill in the Accent vs. an eclipse GST. Yes.. it really had a turbo. Yes.. it had a total derp driving it and some issues I am sure. He ran a 16.8 with over a second on the r/t.
