a kid in my school just got a 1997 SE maxima, he said that he went 155mph. can maximas go that fast and if they could wouldnt there be a speed limiter on it?

today i go into class and he is tellin more people about his maxima, today he has a turbo and 240hp. i asked him where he got the turbo from and he says it came with the car when he bought it. i asked how he knew he had a turbo and he says his brother told him, and his brother also seems to know that the turbo put him up to 240hp. i wonder why the person who sold him this "turbo" maxima didnt seem to mention it to him? i just walked away, i hardly made it out the classroom before i bursted out laughing. i just hope he doesnt really belive all of this. i asked to see the turbo and he said he will show me, by then it will probally be an invisable turbo.

 

Why don't you challange this kid to a race? If you have a 5spd you will prolly take him. I am assuming you are in high school still (which is cool) because of the types of stories this kid is telling so please do not race on the street. Take it to the drag strip. I don't want to be the one responsible for getting a couple of young kids killed because they were street racing.

 

both of our cars are automatics, so i know his car is faster than mine because its got 190 hp. but if we go through a few turns i will kill that family sedan, i cant wait to actually look under the hood to prove him wrong, i alredy got a kid to shutup about his V6 turbo AWD focus. when he opened his hood i asked him where the other two cylinders were and he said he didnt know, all he kenw was that at the dealership he paid some extra money for a V6 turbo. i dont understand why kids in my school would lie about what they have under the hood when i know way more than they ever will about cars and if they ever got in a race with me all that **** they talked would just embaress them. i have had atleast 3 other people claim to have outrageous amounts of HP in their cars and they all said they have turbos. i think that these kids actually belive that stickers and emblems give you HP.
