Question about the 'Resident Evil' movies
 

I'm just starting to watch the fifth one. I realize that I shouldn't take them very seriously, but one large point bugs me: Umbrella Corporation presumably made a profit once upon a time. Now that everyone else is dead, why are they still doing what they're doing and what resources do they have to do it with (or pay/feed their people), etc?
