Do you think a new Star Trek tv show would do ok?
With the quality of J.J. Abrams' Star Trek films in mind, I am wondering what I asked in the title of this thread. The previous Star Trek movies starred actors from the shows. The current Star Trek films have a good cast and I think they could make a new show work. It would not have to be on television only or at all. Instead, it could be available for viewing by using an online service like Netflix.

Not putting it on TV misses a lot of people, even today. IF (big IF) they did it right, almost any kind of show could be a success. The potential for disaster and smelling like the Sci-Fi channel are pretty high though, especially considering the previous Star Trek shows left a pretty big set of shoes to fill compared to most of the garbage on TV these days.
