187sks's videos

I'm posting some of the videos I put together here for people to comment on and let me know what they did like and didn't like about them. If you don't like the video tell me and tell me why and I won't be upset. I love constructive criticism because it'll help me do better next time.

I use Ulead Video Studio and Windows Movie Maker for the most part, although I use Cool Edit Pro for some of the sound editing and occasionally other programs if I want something specific. Lately I've mostly been using Windows Movie Maker since it's so much easier to use.

Things I know I almost always get wrong:
Content...I have too much of it usually. A lot of my videos get boring and I really could cut out a lot. I've been improving steadily but looking at a video months later I still usually feel like there's a lot of junk in there that could have been cut out.

Transitions...I'm rarely happy with the transitions I use from scene to scene. If you see one I do that you like let me know, or if you see somewhere where something else would have worked better.

Not that those are the only things I think I have problems with, they're just what give me consistent problems.

This video was made with Windows Movie maker. It is of the Tiburon after adding the SSA Catback.

This video was made with Windows Movie Maker. It is of a shooting expedition me and some friends went on.

This video was made with Windows Movie Maker. It is footage from New Year's Eve of a crazy drunken idea either gone right or wrong depending on your opinion.

This video was made with Windows Movie Maker. This is a simple video not intended to be flashy, just basically to show a viewer the video and explain what was going on.

This video was made with Windows Movie Maker. It's of a Hyundai meet and it is a good example of a video that runs too long for it's own good.
<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/rVCOdZ4973w"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/rVCOdZ4973w" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

I'll add more to Youtube later and post them.

Thanks!

Yeah, I have messed around with Cool Edit quite a bit and I'm able to do a lot of fun things. It's really easy to use. I've edited things out of songs using it, or added extra instrumentals, etc to get the music to be the right length before as well as just making custom soundtracks to add with like one song, then a record scratch and changing to another more appropriate song, stuff like that. I'm sure you're a hundred times better equipped to edit audio than I will ever be but for a guy like me Cool Edit is a pretty good program because I can figure it out and use it.
