Why do you think Hyundai never brought the Getz to US soil? Would it had killed accent sales, you think?

Well, it'd have to be rather up-spec to compete in the US. It'd be competing with the Fit and Yaris, which are very talented cars.

The Getz basically sells on price, so adding ESC and dual air bags just wouldn't add up.

So the Getz was never sold in the US? That would explain why there's not much on the forums relating to them (Well, at least not that I've found so far, anyway). Does anyone happen to know if the Getz was sold under any other name in other markets?

Iv'e done some research on the getz since i own one and passionatly called it Chuckie because of its "excited" 1.3l engine, and here in south africa its a super popular car. Ive found some countrys call it a "Click". If every thing goes well in the next few years i might be putting in the 1.8l or 2.0l from the elantra or tiburon.
