In recent news, there's a few state governors that are saying they will not allow Syrian refugees in their states to protect the people. Obama announced that 10,000 of them will be allowed to come here this year. With what happened in Paris, and them now knowing that a couple of the terrorists were in fact part of the refugee groups that came in, would you be comfortable in knowing that thousands of refugees could be living right by you? They most likely would not be scanned or checked to see what type of background they have and the possibility is high that at least one could be helping ISIS.

As much as I do feel for the people fleeing ISIS, no. I do not want us to accept refugees.
If we do, I demand that we stop all the TSA BS. Bringing in refugees is a bigger threat than not searching my shoes.

I can't imagine that this would go over well in my burnt crucifix of a neighborhood.
I'm torn on this anyway. It's good that we're helping people relocate as the Syrian crisis has become a humanitarian cesspool. That and we're just as much to blame for batting at the buzzing hornets nest. However there is the reality that along with refugees we are going to allow amnesty to any number of violent criminals a-la Scarface x1000.
One thing is for certain, no one who moves into my rural location is looking to cause mass chaos.

Afer Pearl Harbor the japanese people were put in consentration camps because some thought that was a good idea. In the 60's and 70's people were afraid that some Vietnamese refugees could been sleeper cell agents of the Vietcong. Some Cuban refugees where scrutinized because the goverment thought they were working for Castro's regime..... There is always the chance that some might come here with intentions of committing terrorists attacks but you can't say that all of them are.

f*ck no! And I sincerely hope, and expect that Texas does not take them in. Texas vs. Fed yet again.
Looking at everything else this a**hole of a President has been doing AGAINST the public's opinion is outrageous. We elected them to represent our voice, yet all he's been doing lately is making laws against it.

If it's 0.1% terorrists slip past the "screening" then you have more sleepers already here in just that one batch, than did all that sh*t in Paris the other day.
Refugee: flees bombs in the backyard to the yard next door. In this case, Turkey is the prime destination for not-bombing-me type refugees
Syrian: from Syria or could pay a few bucks and get a Syrian passport because there is no government in Syria
"Syrian Refugee": typically a military-age male unwilling to fight for his country, or else willing to go fight for his cause somewhere else. NO way to judge between them. Anyone that tries to get past Turkey from Syria is not seeking refuge from war, they are seeking handouts. Germany is giving out free money and housing. Guess where a bunch of them are trying to go?
We'll probably be giving them free money and housing too. Until the cells decide to activate.
As stupid as it is to give guns to "moderate rebels" I'd rather spend every dollar doing that, that we're spending to bring "Syrian refugees" to CONUS.
