So I called a couple junkyards, and closest 2005-2006 front bumper was in Alberta, they wanted 500$+ 250 shipping.

Just for kicks, I called Hyundai to compare prices, they throw out 225$+tax CANADIAN for the bumper and 250$ for the 07, to bad it looks like ass.

I think I got a pretty good deal.... wink1.gif

Jay-M 03-30-2007 01:45 PM

you have a GK tib?

yeah not all of them are that bad...

Dark Shark 03-30-2007 02:04 PM

^^^ Either that, or someone wants to put it on their RD smile.gif

tanc 03-30-2007 02:06 PM

Jay, its going on the RD. cool.gif

peter_2150 03-30-2007 02:52 PM

Damn if it that cheap ill have to go to my dealer and see what they want.

xxxmonoxidechild 03-30-2007 03:33 PM

wait, so your putting the older 05-06 version on your RD?

i think that would be vastly considered a downgrade from even the stock RD bumper

Ericy321 03-30-2007 05:37 PM

wow, not a bad price at all. ESPECIALLY from a dealer. nice pickup

tanc 03-30-2007 06:40 PM

A down grade? How do you figure? It's one of the nicest bumpers I've ever seen for us also better quality than any fiberglass rice bumper around.

I couldn't believe it either when they told me the price.... The junk yards want 400+250 shipping, theres nothing local or remotely close. It's a hard piece to find because even the 03-04's want them. I called the dealer in Michigan and he quoted me 407$, and here it's 250Canadian with tax and all.

I also enjoy the fact that its not painted, so I don't have to spend time sanding it down + plus its brand new.

LNHeart 03-30-2007 09:03 PM

Awsome deal bro!!

Well i also looked into the dealer before i bought the one i have right now. They quoted me 400+ shipping... so yeah, you got a very good deal at the dealer.

Wish you luck. Are you going to add the 3 inches in the center?

tanc 03-30-2007 09:06 PM

Yes, I will. I'll probably be pming you quite often lol.\

Like for example, how did you hide the rivets to still have left in the bumper.

LNHeart 03-30-2007 09:06 PM

Oh, wait a minute, you telling me that i downgraded my RD? Lol, I deff. DONT think so. I got low profile, looks, and better durability than any other bodykit you can get for the RD. nana.gif That and it also looks better than the stock RD bumper, IMO.

tanc 03-30-2007 09:09 PM

LN, I got a question for you above lol

LNHeart 03-30-2007 09:12 PM

Lol, yeah i was trying to edit my post. Anyway, let me take some pics of the tools i used to hide the rivets.

You actually have to drill the hole then use another tool to make to top of the hole bigger for the head of the rivet to go in, then you just fill and make it smooth with FG or Bondo. I used both XP.

I'll send you a PM right now, or should i post it here?

tanc 03-30-2007 09:13 PM

Just shoot me a PM.

I'll look at it later on tonight and reply.
