What I Did Yesterday (sunday)
After working with Pandy on his car saturday, Sunday I got up nice and bright and early and drove up to King of Prussa Mall outside of Philly. There I met up with the local car geeks and we had a very small get together before taking off to West Chester for lunch at hooters.
It was a small group this time, but some impressive machinary was there.. all BMW with one Exception

My little Ti, all nice and shiney.. and the only 4 cylinder in attendance. Unlike most BMW lovers, these guys are pretty hard core into motorsports and they accept the Ti with open arms due to it's light weight and nimble handling (at least compared to the rest of BMW's lineup.
I am actually in this picture.. but I am not telling anybody who I am
Back of an M3 with the lightweight wing.. and another older 3er behind it. Both of these cars see autocross and track events on a regular basis.

Another M3.. this one with the SMG or BMW's semi auto gearbox. Still a nice car.

And of course the car I got to follow through the twisties to West Chester. A nice mean looking Porsche 996 turbo. This car is set up for Porsche Owner's Club Track days.. VERY fast and sticks well in the corners. This was the view I saw of it the entire way there.

As I was the only one not from the Philly area, I was afraid to get lost, so I kind of glued my little Ti to his back bumper.. even if that meant getting sideways through a lot of the corners. They noticed it in the Porsche and the guy behind me supposedly has some video footage, but it has not been posted yet.

very nice meet Mad-Machine!! you go to some of those BMW meets and you'l find some exotics here and there. That semi-auto is no joke I bet those are quick as hell.
must have been really fun to get sideways, but you have to be careful! great way to get to know your cars capabilities by the way.
did you tell them you used to drive a tiburon? did the guys give you any advice?

I actually mentioned that I had a tib before the Bimmer.. one of the guys there (the guy with the Porche) mentioned that Hyundai was getting pretty scary with how good their cars were getting.
Like I said.. they were all pretty much hard core motorsports fans. They generally do not judge by badge alone.
And yes. I am sadly going bald.

i figured he was the guy closest to his car like every person is in that picture. the porsche guy is probably on the far side. What pandy said about nacho libre reminds me you're like wilson from tool time.
haha i think if i talked to you it would be hard because you'd already know everythng i have to say.

Actually, the Porsche guy is on my left.. and the guy in the black and gray had the 4 door M3 (not shown) that was furthest away.
It was a lot of fun, and on short notice too. I have to say it was really a shame we could not get the same amount of enthusiasm out of the Hyundai people in this area. Been to two "meets" here and almost nobody showed at either one. There was less than 2 weeks notice on this one and we had almost 10 cars.
Kinda depressing really.
Anyway, soon as more pics are up I will post them. Some of the roads around King of Prussa and through the Valley Forge National Park area are awesome. We do not have those sorts of roads down in South Jersey
