Sparticus, you don't swear in right after the Physical.
LMAO
Someone lied to you, but it wasn't the Recruiter.
You go thru your physical, then you go see the assignment person to look thru the jobs that are open and compare your ASVAB scores. After you pick one and fill out about 40000000000 sheets of contract paperwork, THEN you go stand in the room (Took me a wait of about 4 hours the first time) to swear in as a group.
Hell, I've been to MEPS 4 times, taken the ASVAB 6 times, and Enlisted at MEPS 2 times.

Like someone else said, if you don't want to go get out of it before you go to basic. It might be very difficult though, unless you haven't swore in yet. Once you raise your right hand it's over... lol.
ive been in the air force for over 6 years now and i cant complain.....the hardest part was basic, and it really wasnt that hard.....steady paycheck, free house, free school, free insurance (life, medical, dental, etc) .... i am married, have 2 cars in the garage, life is pretty good for being 25 yrs old
I was told that all the way up until you get your orders to your first duty station you can get out. Just say its not the life for you... lol
Anywho... I've been in the good ole Air Force for almost 4 years now. Its been a great thing! There are a few complaints but hey, what job doesn't come with those. but hey, they pay for your food and a place to live and give you college...
Sometimes you get screwed over... then sometimes you are on top of things. The longer you are in the better things get... thats the main thing you have to remember! IT GETS BETTER!!! cool.gif
If you are wondering, I am a weapons troop (2W151) its a really fun job but nothing I can do in the "real world"... 02.gif If you want something that gets you in the air, go load master or something with the heavys (i.e. crew chief). You go with your plane where ever it goes. Plus you have something you can take over to the "real world"!
So, yeah... theres my bit of info... I just got off a twelve hour shift.. so if none of this makes since... I'm sorry. nana.gif

Being in and married isnt hard on the relationship? I'm in Computer System Ops and it seems to me like work days range from 10 - 16 hours long, 5 days a week. Plus school, thats ATLEAST 12 hours a week. Then HOMEWORK (dun dun dun)! Gosh how would I make time for my wife!? OR WORSE! My TIB!? I think i might cry...
I'll back Redz up on the mustangs (enlisted becoming officers) generally do make the best officers. You two, if you have serious questions feel free to call me. I just seperated out of the Air Force, not because I didn't like it, I LOVED IT, nothing I ever had done or will do will ever be as fullfilling. Even though I didn't work with the Air Force much as I was a TACP and stationed at Fort Polk, but I do know a good bit to help you out.
