United passenger forcibly removed from plane for not giving up seat

Wow that is REALLY REALLY bad and United is going to lose a whole lot more money than they needed to by letting him fly on that airplane. That was so f*cking stupid on their part.
Why wouldn't they just put the crew on another flight? That doesn't make any f*cking sense.
That video is really bad. If that was me it would be hard for me not to fight back as those guys dragged me out. Maybe that guy realized he just hit a huge pay day though.

The video is bad, but the whole thing was preventable. If the dude had got off the plane without throwing a hissy fit, like the other people who were also made to leave the same flight before him, he never would have got his face broken. You don't get to argue with the airline AND the police like that. o48SQkK.gif
would you get off the plane if it cost you your job?
he purchased a ticket, they accepted said ticket, he sat down, put his luggage away and they went "on second thought, nevermind, these 4 united employees are more important than you. get off the plane and take the one tomorrow"
he refused to leave voluntarily. so we broke his face.
furthermore, cops dont work for the airlines, why are they doing their bidding?

"After our team looked for volunteers, one customer refused to leave the aircraft voluntarily and law enforcement was asked to come to the gate."

We can't tell if he was lying or not in order to stay on the flight. But, we have to assume he wasn't and needed to see the patients. In that case, yes it was a BIG deal for him if he missed his flight. Cancelling a day's worth of scheduled appointments doesn't just ruin HIS day. Think of the patients, the rooms, equipment, supporting techs, pushing back of other appointment. One day missed can add up to a mess in a hospital.

I'm just shocked there weren't more people taking the $800 offer. Apparently, it was a plane full of rich doctors.
Once the commotion started, I would have put up an offer for $1500.

Their stock is down almost a billion dollars. This was a terrible way for them to deal with this. It's their fault, they need to keep sweetening the deal until they get a volunteer. I'd have jumped on the $800 probably.
