Every year there is a race sponsored by the susan g. komen foundation in down town cincinnati. every year my mom would get together the team and raise the money. but as many of you know she passed away in march. So now i am takin over the responsibility. I am having shirts made by our very own PHORQ to give to each member of the team and to anyone who wants to buy it. they are being made in memory of my mother.
The purpose of this post is to try and get the members of rd.com to donate money to the foundation. im not 100% sure who to make the checks out to but i would think its "Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation"
Theres 2 ways we could do this.
1. Make a check out to the foundation and mail it to ME
2. for those of you who dont write checks or cant or w/e.... pay pal the money to redz or another VERY well known and respectable member and keep track of it on this site, then, whoever the money is sent to just make out one big check to the foundation and mail it to me.
either way, when i present the money i will make sure that they know it is from rdtiburon.com
there may be a website that you can get on to donate the money personally to eliminate sendin it to me or to one of the moderators on here. ill find that out though. but you may need my Team name to give our team the credit for raising it.

Im sure there is a way on that site to donate money directly to the foundation.
OR
You could join my team. Just because you join my team DOES NOT mean you have to show up. They have an option you can pick called "Snooze" or w/e. its where you join my team, but cant attend the race( for those of you in other states). The fee to join a team is $30 and in that fee is the registration and they mail you a t-shirt along with one of those pieces of paper with a # on it that you wear on your back lol. That $30 is also considered a donation. so you can either donate just money,or join the team for $30 and that be your donation and along with that you get a t-shirt out of it. BTW that tshirt is NOT the one phorq is making just to clarify that

Thought of this JUST NOW.... We could make a team called rdtiburon.com haha granted NONE of the members would likely show up (except for me of course) but just an idea cool.gif

Hey guys just giving an update/bump
Know how i mentioned the shirts I am having made in memory of my mom? well i just counted and so far i have over 60 being ordered. So come race day we should be able to write a check for over $600-700 as a donation. the rest of the money that was earned is of course going to pay for the shirts lol.
