Default Salary requirements

How does one include salary requirements when applying for a job? Do you put this at the end of your resume? Cover letter? Do you even ask?

For the specific job in question, the salary ranges from about $10K less than my salary, all the way to $25K more than my salary. I have 7+ years experience in the role I'm applying for.

I definitely wouldn't put your requirements if it's below what you're making now. Your resume should be one of those, "HEY! LOOK AT ME! I'M VERY WORTHY OF AN INTERVIEW AND I'M BETTER THAN THE NEXT GUY" sort of things. By putting your salary requirement higher than they want to pay would only have negative connotations, such as "Too pricey", "Over Qualified", etc. etc.

Get your foot in the door for an interview. Do your best to overdress and show you're worthy of the job and sell yourself well enough so you can demand that extra $10k. Only if a job is offered to you would I then give your demands.

Perhaps they interview you and think, "He's overqualified for this, but would be perfect for another opening we have"
