Retail shops closing at records rates
There has been so many retail stores close in the past 12 months around me. Malls are losing foot traffic too. It's hard for them to compete against online shops like Amazon, New Egg, Ebay, etc. It sucks because I actually enjoy going to stores to look at stuff in person instead of having to rely on a website description. Anyone else feel the same way? I predict in the next 5-10 years, almost all shopping will be done online.

I think in the future, we'll have "Amazon showrooms" and the like. These will be places where if you're the type that likes to see what you're buying in person, you can. There will be no on site inventory. If you like the item, you can order it by simply waving your smartphone over a pad next to the item. The Amazon app will then charge your pre-selected payment method and ship the item to your house. The item might even be there waiting by the time you get home.
