One of the best thing that was ever said in behalf of the car was after one of my first Civic Si smokings...."damn, that thing is fast...what do you have in there" I laughed and told him it was stock. He said "but that's a Hyundai" to which I replied it may be a Hyundai but it smoked you....BAHAHAHA. lol.gif

LMAO, you reminded me of another...
Uphill from Fort Riley to Manhattan this white Civic comes up fast and hard and then gives up next to me at about 85 cause I was pulling away. I pull into the Autozone in Manhattan Kansas and there's this doode with a ancient CRX and his hood open. I go inside to get some oil for an oilchange coming up and the white Civic is sitting next to his car and all of the guys are standing next to my car looking under the hood of the rusted blue CRX.
I open the door and walk out...

LOL, not too far off....back in the day when SR was one silver first gen tib that was getting prototyped and the web site looked like Atari graphics (cheap and bad). Hyundai has come a loooooooooong way for those of us who have been here (I won't say since the beginning because there was the scoupe, pony and some others long before the Tiburon that people were tuning) for a long time.
