Question about the fast and the furious
I was just wondering why he worried about his car only hitting a 140mph? I mean I usually don't see speeds like that reached at street racing events. Not at least at the ones I go to maybe the v8s but never the imports. It was kind of bothering me so I thought I would ask.

Cause if you notice in the movie everyone of the cars racing at the big race blew past 140. Even the eclipse did. If he would have let his car go without the NOS and topped out at 140 he would have lost big time. And there is always a strive to go faster.

Well by all rights yes the gearing should have been changed considering the car topped out at 140 cause it was only geared to go that fast. But you have to remember this is only a movie and your not supposed to see things like that. You should be paying more attention to the cars and not to the mistakes the director and crap made. HEhe. Later!!!

I I would of seen this movie before I got my car I might of gotten a Mustang just because it could be made to look EXACTLY like a Skyline R34!!!

i hated this movie for 2 reasons.
first was that the story was weak and so was the acting, so as a movie its just dumb
secondly anything to do with ANYTHING even remotly automotive was either made up or was wrong in some way.
all this movie did was to encourage rice boys to be even ricier. which is evident by people asking serious performance questions based on what they saw in that god awful movie.

for example, the eclipse in question (in actuality) was a NON TURBO RS eclipse. the thing even has rear drum brakes (saw it at an auto show). Its "susposed" to be a "10 second car" (which is where the 140MPH comes from)... and as we all know having 2 NOS tanks makes you even faster rolleyes.gif that movie was ghey plain and simple. Oh guess what... that supra wanst a turbo either.

I too hated the movie.....It had pretty much the same story as "Point Break" but it had worse actors. I have to agree with the Si fella, the cars were kinda wea. I saw the eclipse for sale on ebay and it's NOS kit was fake. *shrug* But it was just a movie, not a documentary.
