Paris Deal

Doesnt matter much to most of us, but man will it suck for our kids and their kids. :disappointed2: Unless of course a future president gets back into it, which I probably see happening.

What do Donald Trump and his father have in common?

Spoiler

I know, we totally need that piece of paper to go green. We're f*cked.

:nuts2:

Silly comment is silly.

Constitution is also a piece of paper.

We pay billions of dollars to other countries to *think about* what they will do to reduce their pollution, without requiring them to do anything about their pollution - and specifically NOT requiring the world's greatest polluter (China) to do anything at all for a decade. That was a sh*t deal for the USA.

The agreement doesn't take effect until 2020, so I have no idea what deal you're talking about.

The Paris Deal is not the long-term solution to the planet's problems. It just delays the problems. We need a permanent fix, not a quick patch.

True. But, it's a step closer than Trump's, "bring back coal", which is NEVER coming back. Even the coal companies say this.

JonGTR Jun 5, 2017 06:38 AM

WTF are YOU talking about? We still use coal in large quantities. How do you think you're getting your power right now? 85-90% of it comes from the burning of coal. It never left. Trump just doesn't want it imported at a premium, or us to pay out the ass to subsidize renewable methods.

Silly me thought you were against these big corporations getting rich off government subsidies. The majority of solar power is manufactured from only a couple companies....who are making a killing off gov't mandates. And they don't employ near as many people as the coal industry.

Silly comment.....

Try 30%, and falling. Natural gas is the current fossil fuel of choice. But hey, don't let facts get in the way of a political agenda.
