Grr.. I wish i planned out my projects better. It's starting to get dark and I MUST install my headers within 8 hours
I'm waiting for the first coat of paint to dry on my headers. When I installed my headers, I ran them before completely torquing the bolts down, and some of the chromoly fuzz shot out. So i've had a slight exhaust leak for a while. I purchased an OEM gasket today and am installing it tonight. I figured while I had them off I'd paint them. So far, on just the first light coat, the aluminum paint looks beautiful.
So I put the first coat of aluminum paint on my headers and realize that it has to be installed within 8 hours of painting them. The sun's going down, so it looks like it's going to be another late night of loosing bolts.
Any suggestions as to where bolts might fall? I know of on the ground and on top of the bumper. If i can't feel the bolts there, where else should I feel around for them at night?

because it's header paint, and my headers are turning kinda wierd colors.
it says formulated for high temp paint applications. our exclusive ceramic forumla increases heat dispersion to maintain and protect finish. Ideal for all high temperature applications. Withstands intermittent temperatures up to 1200F. Oil and gas resistant. Idleal for exhaust components, radiator @ cooling system components, transmission housings & manifolds.
I know standard exhaust temperatures are around 575 or so for most engines... Will nitrous exceed 1200?

wtf lol..
painting headers is easy, but you should do them like i did mine.. i got a real ceramic based paint, and coated them in 3 medium coats, then baked them at 350 for 20 min, let cool for 30, 450 for 30 min, let cool for 30, 500 for 35 min, let cool, then install, and the paint looks like it was just done to this day, and i am running a turbo so it gets ALOT hotter than N/A gets.
i woulda left the headers the polished stainless color though, the only reason i did mine, because i HATE silver/chrome/polished.
the stuff java/viper had on the car, from SSA was that shitty 500 degree paint, i had it on my 4-1 OBX header, and it peeled off within a few days..
the stuff i have on my car now, has been on through about 2000+ rough miles with hotter temps. than NA.
