The house is incredible but all that land...man. He must pay a ton in taxes.

Not as much as you think. Here in Texas, designating land for agricultural use will get you a pretty big break on your taxes. My family has this and it's significant. All that's required is a fence and a handful of cattle. Now, I'm sure he went even further to write it off as a wildlife preserve as well judging by the last few pics showing the game animals. As you already know, the rich don't pay as much as you think for their toys.
