hey whats up, I don't own a Hynudai, but when my friend comes back from Boot Camp next week he is going to purchase a 97-99 Tib 2.0 fx. I'm just looking for some advise and tips so I can help him out with it. He's is going for clean looks and high performance, any help and opinions would be much appreciated. thanks in advance.

I guess how to help him, we need to know what's he's looking for.

If he want's Normally Aspriated power, and bolt ons, about 160 to the wheels is the most he should expect.

If he wants to go Nitrous, Turbo or SC, there are options for him.

There are many different places to get body kits for the Gen1, so there's a lot of choices there.

If you could give us a budget to work with, and what he wants (power wise) and is he looking for more performance, or more appearance? or an equal mix of both?
