Should've bought a Supra.

Supra would not make a good work truck

Should have bought an El Camino.

Picked up the truck for 1,300 and so far I have replaced the front brake pads, rotors and bearings. New shocks front and rear, still needs put in. Tinted the rear windows and cleaned the sh*t out of the interior, needs a new bench seat. Installed factory a/c as this truck did not have it. Full gasket/seal kit for the engine. New timing chain kit, water pump, cap, rotor, wires and plugs. Rear tranny seal, throw out bearing, pilot bearing and slave cylinder. Uncountable cans of Cast Iron coat and gloss black engine enamel 500 degree rated. Some flat black on a new exhaust manifold 2000 degree paint. The old manifold was warped and I found out the hard way by popping a manifold stud from its threads during torque down...helicoil fixed that. Im sure im forgetting some stuff but that covers most of it.

Nice setup overall. So how much do you have invested into this total ? How many miles on the engine/tranny?
|
nice work !!

engine and trans have 280,xxx and about 700 bux on top of the 1,300 I already paid. This is still cheaper then most Toyota pickups you will find on craigslist here in Sacramento. The 94 Truck itself has 348,xxx on her and has either a bad head gasket, which the previous owner replaced, or a crack in the cylinder head or block as oil and coolant are mixing.
