I've been really serious about my one goal even as a child cars have always been a part of me. I'm going to go try Automotive Engineering at University of Maryland and if that goes well Automotive and Robotic Engineering in Poland. Engineering isn't my talent, art is.

I was one of three students to exhibit with the faculty art in my college in 2004. (Watercolors belong to teacher)

and this past summer in Poland on Pulaski day (Polish general who saved all of America from the British during revolution) with american attache.

The Sebring Ferrari I painted, and my other two paintings. One is a portrait of my great grandfather who is Polands most famous artist in history.

So I found a school in London that I have serious plans to go to in two years if all goes to plan. It's called Royal College of Art: Royal College of Art Car Design

http://www.rca.ac.uk/images/lib/4/335.jpeg
"Students are expected to visualise design narratives to a high quality using a range of devices, from hand sketching to computer-rendering and clay-modelling. The department hosts a series of seminars to challenge perceptions, encourage the mixing of design disciplines and to generate discussion between students and design professionals. The staff team are committed professionals with a range of specialist knowledge and experience of professional practice and design education."

I'm thinking of just dropping the whole technical side of Automotive and Robotics and just getting an Art degree from University of Maryland and then attending Royal College of Art and seeing where I land from there. The big big problem is I would like a job nearby and that would be a problem with transportation design because Engineering jobs are everywhere and design jobs aren't. Another problem is living in London for a while is better for me because I want to move to Poland in the near future and the flight is like 2 1/2 hours so even if I would work in Europe it wouldn't be worse than working somewhere in the States. Another big problem is the United States pay more in general when it comes to careers and English is really my native language. What to do?! I can't learn physics in one semester that's for sure...

Sounds interesting & I hope you get to do it all.

I was slated to study industrial design & engineering at University here, with a view to then go to Italy (I had a good friend living over) for a couple of years to study automotive design but that all fell apart when I deferred my Uni course to be with my then-girlfriend in another state. I got a job in sales & did pretty well at that so I never ended up bothering with Uni 02.gif

I'm a designer now... but in the kitchen industry, lol. It's hardly the same as designing cars... or anything that I'm very passionate about, for that matter.

Good luck with everything mate fing02.gif

damn that's still a good way to land tim!! my cousin did the same thing, but ended up in business and marketing with design so he's travelling to debuts and reviewing cars and informing the company about new things. see but at least you're working at home and probably close to home. a designer is a designer you can be as creative as you want. you can always "secretly" start making a business out of it.

i'm really at a crossroad!! i think i will shoot for it and see how engineering goes just to see. i don't know if anybody here has been to automotive & robotic engineering?
