I Made It Into The Top 25 Standing At Rev It Up!
OMG! I'm so excited right now! I've never done any kind of racing before, so this was a first time experience for me in this kind of track setting.
I went to Rev It Up (http://www.revitup.com) and signed up for the competition. You comepete in an Auto Cross in Chevy Cobalt SS to get your standing to get into the top 25 competetors. Now, you have to remember, many of these guys are Pro Drivers that do this for a living. I made it!!!! #25! hahaha.
So I was standing up there in the line up of the top 25 drivers of the day with only one other Novice class driver who also made it to the top 25. The rest of the drivers were all Pro Drivers. To be able to stand there with those guys and race head to head with them in time attack in a 2007 Corvette C6 was an INCREDIBLE experience!
In the Corvette Competition, I came out #12 in ranking for today's event and #21 overall for the past two days of racing. --- I DID BETTER THAN HALF OF THE PRO DRIVERS!!!!!!!!!!!! And some of these guys are insane. They have been racing vettes for years. I ended up only .6 sec behind a veteran Vette Racer Car Driver. I'm so extatic right now! God what an experience!
But it's so sad, I have NO Pictures.... But I might be up on the rev it up website soon standing in the line up, driving the cars, etc. Cause they were taking TONS of pictures. But the guys I came with had to take off and no one had a camera. But I have the memories. I even drove 2 of the pro drivers to the airport cause they needed a lift.
Man, what an INCREDIBLE DAY! I went there thinking I was just going to have some fun tearing up someone else's car, and I ended up in the top 25 in competition! WOW WOW WOW! I can't believe it myself!
Those Vettes are FAST!

I am so doing this again next year. I've never had so much fun driving a car. I mean, it's really a driving school with competition for $25.00, YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT!
Or you can just go take all the classes and stuff for free. Even try outs in the vettes is free. But for competition to try and win a new vette costs money.
After thinking about it now, there is so many things I could had done to get a better time, I'm beating myself for, but hey! It was my very first time ever racing... with some practice and training, I'm positive I would give all those pro drivers a run for their money.
