How owners - how much are your property taxes?

Do you guys pay a lot for property and school taxes or are they pretty reasonable?

tibbytib 07-20-2014 08:57 PM

Eh, about 1500 a year. Don't know if thats good or bad.

Tibbi 07-20-2014 11:04 PM

I pay about 2k and it gets higher every year as we work on the house and increase the value.

But that all comes out of escrow so it should never be a major hurdle if your mortgage is worth a damn.

property taxes are different depending where you live and much your house is valued at.

true, its 7k a year here... ive heard my town has the highest property tax in the state.

no idea on square footage of buildings but its 28 acres.

I pay almost exactly $2,000 per year including city and county property tax (I think, don't think there's a state tax)

We have no state income tax but we do have 9.25% sales tax (or 9.75% in some counties)
