HELP...NOW WHAT!?
I bought a 7" MA Audio monitor early this month on ebay and it was BRAND NEW. It was completely sealed and definately brand new. I installed it in my car when I got it and everything was great for a few weeks...Then today I am driving down the road and it just shuts off. I checked fuses, wires, EVERYTIHING possible....It is just a defective screen. Now here is the real kick in the balls...The ebay auction says Seller is not an authorized MA Audio distributor and makes no representations as to the manufacturer warranty of this item. So NOW WHAT??? Do I call MA? Do I tell they guy it worked a couple weeks and died or that I just installed it and it never worked and try to get another from him? Do you think an ebay reciept will get me warranty service? I am so pissed and so confused about what the hell to do?? PLEASE HELP!
This is a byproduct of looking for hte cheapest, but not necessarily the best (in the long run) deal. You bought an MA product from someone who is not nor represented themselves as an MA dealer. You can contact MA yourself, explain hte situation to them, and throw yourself to their mercy and hope for the best.
No one is under any obligations whatsoever, so the best of luck. Maybe you can get lucky with an MA rep who is in a good mood that day. If not, you're SOL.

1) Quickly purchase the identical product from MA
2) Return the defective one (or just the face, so as to avoid the serial number issue) and get a new one
3) Sell your extra head (to me!)

Your fault you bought something on EBAY. My job is currently in sales and I dislike people like you who buy something else and try rip a company off. Its as worse as someone modding a car, voiding their warranty, then reverting the car back to stock to get it repaired. Its just pathetic, and immature.

They way I look at it, I am not ripping MA Audio off if I buy a new one from them and return the old as defective because their new product lasted less than a month. Therefor I have a defective product made by them. If I had it a couple years and it broke then yes it would be wrong to do that, but given the circumstances I feel justified! As for buying on ebay...Ebay wouldn't even be here if not for the fact that stores mark stuff up 50% or more (especially car audio) Ebay is there to make things more affordable.
