The couch one is highly likely to paralyze someone.

My wife's friend had her neck broken (causing death, unfortunately) by an airbag last month. Those things scare me.

Yeah, personally I don't like them. I think it's a stupid idea. It seems like if safety is that much of a concern there should be less deadly ways of making you safe.
