A few months ago, this signing up for Greenzap was all the rage. I think I'll sign up and blow the $25 on something, but I won't be using it to transfer funds anywhere. It doesn't have as big of a name nor respectability that Paypal does, so it will take time before I trust it.

QUOTE (Agarwal @ Jul 8 2005, 07:43 PM)
^^It's obisously Green_Zap, and not Greenz_Ap.

That's not what I'm talking about. As I explained to Java, it's not the name I was talking about, but the use of the "z" in their links (as explained in the post above yours).

The name is fine. But the use of "z" in words such as "auctionz", "sectionz", "storez", "newz"...stuff like that. It's definite overkill.

Like I said in the first post Paypal started out the same way... small. Once they acquired XBank they got big, but eBay bought them now so that is why they are extremely popular. Greenzap has a good plan I think with the retail stores accepting webcash. I am sure the free $25 and $5 for your freinds signing up will be gone as soon as the retail site portion comes online. What I did was register and send out my link, I have not entered any bank information and am not going to send real money to my account until later when they get everything up and running.

As soon as it is available you will be able to spend it at ebay and some online retail sites.

Warning Guys!

Found a ton of info on other sites and several debates arguing that this may be a scam.

Here is a link from the BBB: http://www.sandiego.bbb.org/commonreport.h...compid=20007693

They say they are affiliated with places, but aren't:

I can't say for certain if they are a scam, but I definitely don't trust it anymore. I knew there was something fishy about that site...didn't I tell you?!?! lol

You won't lose any money if you don't go gold (and when you go gold, the $100 you paid is NOT spendable! it's gone after that), but you I highly doubt your well-earned "webcash" will be usable to get anything.

Seems like people are getting "zcammed".
