Getting sponsored

Me and my friend signed up on www.sportcompactpro.com last year, in november.
It's a site that'll give you sponsorship, etc..
I was wondering if anyone has heard of them before.
Don't want to end up getting stuck in a scam or whatnot confused.gif

They are a scam.

They offered me a $12,000 sponsorship a few weeks back, but to get it I had to pay them a $89 application fee.

You don't get the money, they give you that much of a discount on parts and service you buy thru them, and all of their prices are about 2 X what you would pay normally.

Yea I tried them as well. Same deal. However I did get free vinyls and 50% off House of Boom stuff. With the 50% it really was cheaper than most places. I dont plan on getting the vinyls but I may buy 2 LCDs through them, so in the savings ill be getting my $89 back.

Sponsorships like that usually work out in their favor. Real sponsorships means taking your car to every show possible, they usually have a quota, and making sure you promote them there. If you do crappy, they boot ya and take their shizzle back.

well that one only requires 3 shows a year.... they are probably making all kinds of cash, 90 to sign up. plus I bet they are making comission on the refferal sales since your only allowed to buy off of certain vendors.
