Genesis On Another Magazine Cover
Got the latest issue of Car and Driver the other day and the Gen Coupe is on it. The comparison is against the Camaro V6 where the Genesis is faster in almost all aspects but they liked the overall feel and handling of the Camaro a bit more.
Ford and Dodge would not submit their V6 platforms for comparison. Wonder why....

I haven't even seen one on the road yet... and already:
Camaro Recall - http://www.autoblog.com/tag/camaro+recall/

Camaro5 forum member Bumleb drove his brand new 2010 Chevy Camaro SS about 40 miles when it suddenly just shut down (that's his car above being trailered back to the dealer on a flat bed). The culprit turned out to be a battery cable run from the trunk. Its insulation had broken down from rubbing up against the starter and eventually just shorted out, which ultimately caused the car itself to shut down. Before this was known, however, the forums blew up with speculation about what could be the cause and Mustang and Challenger fanboys had a field day. It turns out, however, that what happened to Bumleb's new Camaro may not be an isolated incident. General Motors has reportedly issued a voluntary product safety recall for any 2010 Chevy Camaro equipped with a V8 engine to ensure this doesn't happen again.
lol... and while reading this, I noticed the 3.8L Genesis Coupe TRACK was in their 'featured gallery' to the right. http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009...oupe-3-8-track/

i read the C&D article yesterday, and from what i got out of it was that the Hyundai was the hands down winner. the clincher in terms of their biased points system was the "gotta have it" portion where they gave the Camaro a 22 and the Hyundai a 16. Hyundai "lost" the total by a single point.
complete BS if you ask me
they didn't like the Track models suspension, and they also didn't like how the clutch felt. they claimed it was too jerky and not a smooth transition.
either way, it was a very good article and i think the Coupe ultimately won

prolly don't want to "lower" their standard by being compared to an asian import
it also had to do with Ford's 6 cyl only puts out a little more than 200hp and the Dodge 6 cyl is an automatic only
and you're welcome
