ay Hy To The £15,000 'Ferrari'

This is the first look at Hyundai's all-new Coupé, and you won't see it anywhere else. In a picture exclusive to Auto Express, the car maker has revealed the flowing lines of the shock replacement model – but haven't you seen them somewhere before?
After nearly four years of development, the Coupé's look is reminiscent of Ferrari's flagship 456. However, there's no doubt that the newcomer is an improvement on the questionable styling of the facelifted original, which arrived in Britain at the start of last year.

Hyundai hopes to take the coupé market by storm with a model that's longer and wider than its pre-decessor. It should also mean more interior space and an improved ride. Extensive development work has been put into the suspension and steering geometry to ensure both driver control and passenger comfort. And there's a surprise under the bonnet, too. The Korean firm has given the car an all-new 2.7-litre V6 engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, although customers also have the option of reworked versions of the existing 1.6 and 2.0-litre four-cylinder units. A choice of five-speed manual or four-speed sequential automatic gearbox will also be available.

Drivers of the Coupé will sit in electrically adjustable Recaro seats while braking has the benefit of discs all-round, coupled to Hyundai's advanced traction control system. Safety is also a top priority, and engineers have worked hard towards a high Euro NCAP crash test score. In-house test results, designed to mimic the procedure, indicate that a five-star rating is possible.

The new car is expected to arrive in the UK in February, priced from £14,500 to £19,000. While that is more than the previous model, it's considerably less than some of the Coupé's two-door rivals such as Peugeot's popular 406, Honda's Accord and even the grey-import Mitsubishi FTO.

mmmm... Recaro.... :D

Here is the Ferrari. It is similar. I would never have known of they hadn't mentioned it.

I'm not too sure that I like the way the mirrors are mounted on the doors? rolleyes.gif

Ehhhh....it's a stretch. Subtle, but I guess it's there.

Not bad, I guess I can see a little resemblence there. I like my tibby better though, only thing I wish is that I had 6 gears to shift through. sad.gif

I'm wondering when the first kit comes out for this will it be a kit to make the car look like the Ferrari. I think that would be a pretty sweet swap.IMO.
