EFF YOU MICROSOFT!!!! RROD
well, im one of the "gen 1" xbox 360 owners, i got mine the DAY it came out
2 hours into owning it, the cd reader did some wierd ass sh*t and fell out putting a perfect ring around my brand new game called M$ and got another....7 weeks later to make up for it they sent me 2 free games so i guess thats alright then 2 years later RROD, got another 1 year later RROD, got lucky and had 3 days left of warranty, got another and now, once again RROD!!!!!!!!!!! luckily i looked and im covered under warranty get this....until december 1, 2010 imma send it in and HOPEFULLY they will cover it AGAIN i HOPE i get a black one this time, that way i can stop getting these damn RROD issues |
I'm not a hardcore gamer, and I am not a fan of Microsoft. It seems that once a company gets too big, they loose sight of the important things while trying to keep costs down.

Fix it yourself dumb nub.
|
My buddy got his like 5 years ago and got the ring a few months ago, MS sent him a refurbished one. But that was a pro console not an arcade. I'm fairly positive that if you get the rrod, warranty or not that they will replace for free with refurbished one.
I've had my elite for 2 years now with no problems at all. |
Why should I bother fixing it when I still have a warranty?
|
^ because any attempt to fix it yourself will void the warranty, so only do it if you're 100% certain you can get it to work as good as new(refurb).
|
I won't state my preferred method, I will only say that Walmart keeps refunding my motherboard purchases
"Evil will always triumph, because good is dumb." - Lord Dark Helmet I refuse to buy another Microsoft console after the 360. The RROD issue sucks but I had to mod an 80mm fan into my original xbox to stop it overheating as well. They just need to learn how to build a system. :headshake: |
I did that same walmart method with original xbox
