Default eBay and PayPal questions

I recently purchased an item on ebay at a ridiculously low price, paid for it immediately and today i was looking at my PayPal transaction and i have the original invoice price and the amount paid was 3x more. The seller never contactwd me about a price adjustment or anything on that matter.

My question is: Is this legal? Can the seller change their price even after i agreed to pay a certain amount?

I've never seen that happen even with reserve items. Seems like unscrupulous bullshit and you should contact the seller politely. If they give you crap just involve ebay. I'm sure there is a way to report that.

Did you not notice the shipping charge? Have a link to the listing?

shipping was free. i contacted the seller and got a reply saying that they were having problem with their pricing system and that's why i got the item cheap. they apologized and canceled my order... I know it sounds fishy and haven't accepted the refund yet.

If their listing has a "not responsible for typographical errors" disclaimer, there's nothing you can do but accept the refund. If not, complain to eBay that an eBay auction or sale is a binding contract and you'd like your $50 bumper.

I declined the refund, I want my $50 bumper cover. If that doesn't work I'll file a PayPal dispute.

You have to file an eBay dispute, not a Paypal one.
