WOW!! that's friggin cool. I wanna know what the switch does.

Quick!!! someone do that in a tib!

StrikeEagle 02-23-2007 06:59 PM

That was amazing!!! He kept that thing perfectly sideways for a lot longer than I've seen before! Was is just me, or did anyone else lean towards the left as he went by that wall on the right side? I think he lost some paint there a few times...

^^ What switch are you talking about DTN? There was the gearshift there, but what switch?

DTN 02-23-2007 07:43 PM

He flips a switch, goes on a straightaway without drifting and then flips it back off about 3/4 way through the video... My eyes were on his ICE the entire first time i watched it lmao.gif . I watched the drifting the 2nd time.

BTW... go to a NOPI event. They have drift teams there. Like 3 cars doing synchronized drifting in figure 8s or powerslides nearly 1/4 mile long.

optimoprime 02-23-2007 11:28 PM

very cool stuff, wonder what kind of car he was in

MAXXTIB 02-23-2007 11:54 PM

The switch looks like he might be using a line lock to bypass the rear brakes so it will be easier to keep the back wheels spinning and the car can't gain to much speed around the corners, I heard of the drifting guys doing it that way, I also understand they sometimes remove the rear brakes all together and just leave the fronts so they can slow the car down yet keep the wheels spinning, either way that guy was good, any idea what car he was driving.
