I just thought it'd be a fun topic. Fun cars to buy to work on and drive around in that are still pretty reliable after their price drops to 5k. Mine are :

Tib FX's of course, and perhaps a TT 300zx, if you're lucky enough to find one in good condition.

Mazda MX-6 LS 93-97 (V6)

while not being absolutely reliable, i think they're pretty solid. I own one, buts its a 4 cyl. I did get a chance to drive an LS, fun machine to mess with.

i've found a few between 2 to 5g's

Subaru Impreza RS awd 95-98?

umm.. nuff said lol.

If I was rich and I had the choice of purchasing cars under $5,000, here's what I'd buy:

-Couple of RD1's for different purposes(everyday driving, racing, rally)

-1998-2000 Ford F-250 Powerstroke Diesel, or Dodge Ram 2500 with a Cummins Turbo Diesel

-To make my Japanese girlfriend happy, I would buy a 1996 Mazda Miata

-I would buy a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe for traveling purposes

I dont' know man, there's something about RD1's that I love. I just want a couple of them... maybe 4 of them.

since mine is in prestige condition: I'd use mine for an everyday car. I would buy a white one for rally, Red one for track, and the very first 1996 RD1s with the 1.8L engine. All Manual transmission.

Off Topic: If I was rich, I would have a private garage with a collection. 1st gen Scoupe, 2nd gen Scoupe Turbo, RD1, RD2, GK, GK2. All of Korea's sports cars.

Ok I'll shut up now.

That talon looks pretty good. I wouldn't mind a miata if it were a hard top, but those are pretty hard to find. Those little cars are damn fast with the right engine tongue.gif and HELL YEAH to the SVX. I thought I was the only person who liked that car. The headlights are a bit iffy to me, but nothing a little modding can't fix tongue.gif

my friend had an SVX one time. said it was the best car he'd ever driven. from what he tells me that thing was a monster. but they are rare.

hell yeah Gary. you and me share the same wish to be rish and have a showroom. except instead of GK's and all that model history, it would be easier and cheaper to buy the original Erikkson F2 rally car from somewhere in south america (last i hear), repaint it to its original red/white/blue clarion paint. last i hear it's like $50,000. DIBS.

I'm pretty sure everyone's dream is about having a bunch of nice cars xD I'd love to have quite a few tuners, but I like a lot of American Muscle too, so it'd be a mix. To be honest, I really don't like any exotic/super cars.
