If you have children, get some bendaroos. They are worth the $20 and that's saying a lot coming from a skinflint like me.

Make sure they NEVER put any Bendaroos in the dishwasher.

Thanks to Jesus for letting me be home when my wife started the dishwasher. The macerator had a bendaroo wrapped around the blade and it was stalling the motor. It would have eventually burned the motor out, and then we're talking $$$ to replace it. I disassembled the machine, cleaned it, reassembled it, and sat back and wondered if I would be able to afford to own a house without being a "handy" man.

some people just dont cut it to own a home. I like to think its about the same thing with cars. Those that own cars and work on them on their own tend to do ok at owning a house. Your not afraid to get in there and fix something.

Renting is not jsut for people who dont have enough money to buy a house, some people love the non ownership factor. Of course that may go hand and hand with the degradation of American society of not being responsible.

I don't think I'd be able to own half of the cars I've owned if I had to pay someone else to work on them. I tend to buy cars the need alot of attention.
