As many of you know I've been upgrading my PC over the past few months, and just put in a 160 Gig HD. My Bios needed updated to handle the new size so I did it.
I've got an Abit motherboard, it's old but still good, they have serious USB issues, but I've got most of that resolved. After the system came up and I ghosted my XP install over to the new drive, it worked but I had some glaring problems.
1. My uninstall of Norton Systemworks (Huge piece of crap, use System Mechanic, much better) left tons of stuff all over that I couldn't get rid of.
2. System Mechanic wouldn't work at all after my ghost and I even tried to reinstall it.
3. My system wouldn't recognize my 3rd 30Gig HD or my DVD Drive.
So, with these glaring issues, I decided to do a clean install. I moved everything I wanted to keep to my 3rd HD and downloaded one of those Outlook Backup programs like I used last time.
One little problem though, that I didn't notice till I formatted my drive, 2 times.
This program was for Outlook Express, I used Outlook 2000.
Whups. Anyone seen about 350 emails?
So, down to brass tacks...
1. If you had any outstanding issues that I was working with David at Kspec.com, please forward the email to me again.
2. I now no longer have any emails between me and Custom Composite.
3. My contacts list is empty, please, if we corresponded alot via email, email me so I can add you.
Lastly, I'm having some serious issues with my freemail Email address at 2by2.net , does anyone know where I can get a decent email account, that has POP3 access? I'm about to close down my Yahoo account too as I get about 500 Spams a day from it.
Thanks for the time, I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

Can't help much, but quit running POS system utilities on your computer, and Outlook has a nice built in backup.
Windows comes with all the utils you need, chkdsk and defrag.
Don't you get a POP3 account with rdtiburon or K-Spec?? If not, you should.
Also, you can get something like Zone Edit that will allow you to forward email from your other domains to your new one. It helps when you change email addresses.

Well, I had Norton on there for a long time, but System Mechanic has been around for a LONG time on my puter too and it does all you could ask for. Not to mention, it's easy to "Buy".
LOL
Kspec's servers would be way to far away for fast stuff, I dont' know if Java has a pop3 here.
I'd like to though.
