Are any of you Atheist?

I am a proud atheist, and i was wondering if anyone else is one too.

Nope, Not Me.

Not sure. I do however think that religion is just a form of control over the masses. gotta keep the crowd in check somehow.

I was raised as a Catholic, but as I got older...I started to realize that having someone preaching to me and telling me what I should believe in, was crap. So now I'm spiritual, but definitely not religious.

I'm not really an atheist, I just have no reason to believe in a god or many gods. I think that evolution happens for sure, just don't think it accounts for everything. Doesn't mean everything had to be "created", just means that our current understanding of the development of life is lacking.

I think of Atheism as it's own religion. It includes taking it on faith that there is no god or gods. That's fine for those it works for, but for me I just don't know the answer. It could involve some supernatural being or it could have all occurred naturally through processes we don't fully understand.

Can I just say how happy I am that this forum is probably one of the only forums out there where people can have fun and mature conversations about religion and politics, without everyone wanting to stab each other over their views? laugh.gif
