Ferdinand Porsche was the designer of the Volkswagen, actually Hitler named it that way, that first vehicle was a "Porsche designed and built" itself. The first Porsches shared the technology as well, in body and the engine was an improved version of the 4cil boxer. Ferdinand Piech, actual leading exectuive of VW AG Germany, is Ferdinand Porsche's grandson, his full name would Ferdinand Piech Porsche.
